Herbs
to Put Your Immune System in Balance
It's
time to take a balance checkof your immune system,
that is. If you're suffering from viruses, bacterial
infections, or cancer, your immune system may be out
of balance. In other words, you may have either an
over reactive or an under reactive immune system.
But
God has created natural remedies to bring balance
back to your immune system. These natural remedies
come in the form of herbs-two common fruit extracts
(pomegranate and elderberry) and one not so common
called astragalus. If your immune system is over reactive,
these herbs can bring it back into balance. Likewise,
if it's under reactive, it brings it back up to par.
That's what makes these natural nutrients that God
has created so unique.
By
contrast, many man-made remedies either stimulate
the immune system or slow it down-they don't have
any discretion as to how far they go in either direction.
But again, these natural ingredients work by restoring
balance to your immune system. How do they do this?
Let's take a look.
In
a study of the pomegranate, a very familiar herb found
in the Bible, researchers from Israel found important
implications for breast cancer treatment. The study,
presented at a conference in Spain, showed that 50
mgs of pomegranate extract triggers a self-destruction
mechanism in breast cancer cells. In fact, it even
protects DNA and literally inhibits cancer formation.
This
is one of the first times that such a common ingredient
has been found to literally blow up the wall, so to
speak, of breast cancer cells. Pomegranate does that
and it's now available in an extract form.
Another
herb that has received a lot of attention is elderberry.
In a study examining flu symptoms (also out of Israel),
researchers found that people taking 100 mgs daily
of elderberry were able to decrease their symptoms
by 50 percent. The elderberry, it was found, did two
things: It inhibited the virus directly and, if the
immune system was weakened, elderberry stimulated
it. And this is common elderberry that is also now
available in an extract form.
